2021 Jeep Compass facelift 80th Anniversary Edition
Jeep has also added a new limited-edition model to celebrate 80 years of the brand – dubbed the Compass 80th Anniversary Edition. For the most part, the special edition’s features list is based on the Limited (O) trim-level, though there are some unique cosmetic changes.
The 80th Anniversary Edition’s exteriors features a grey finish on the grille, ORVMs and roof rails, as well as body colour cladding (just like the Model S trim). The 18-inch alloy wheels are finished in Granite Crystal paint shade and the model also sports an Anniversary Edition badge.
On the inside, the special edition gets black leather upholstery with Light Tungsten accent stitching, piano black and anodised gunmetal accents dotted around the cabin, as well as 80th Anniversary badging.
2021 Jeep Compass facelift engine and gearbox options
Mechanically, the pre-facelift and facelift Compass are identical. The 163hp, 1.4-litre turbo-petrol and 173hp, 2.0-litre turbo-diesel engines continue unchanged. Both have a 6-speed manual gearbox as standard, though higher variants of the Compass petrol get a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic, while the diesel version gets a 9-speed torque convertor auto as an option.
A hardcore Trailhawk variant of the Compass facelift is expected to arrive as well, though the timeline for the launch is yet unknown.
2021 Jeep Compass facelift rivals
At this price point, the Compass facelift faces competition from the Hyundai Tucson (Rs 22.30-27.03 lakh) on the higher end. However, rivals also come in the form of the Tata Harrier (Rs 13.84-20.30 lakh*) and MG Hector (Rs 12.83-18.08 lakh*).
